Commercial first. Three kinds of rooftops.
Most of our work is commercial property — hotels, farms, warehouses, apartment buildings and multi-site portfolios. That's also where the economics are strongest right now, because the 30% federal credit that homeowners lost at the end of 2025 is still available to businesses.
A strategic investment, not an expense
The Section 48E credit still reaches 30% for business property, and 100% first-year bonus depreciation is now permanent. Stacked against demand charges on a large flat roof, that's the strongest remaining case for solar in California — and the one most owners are being shown least accurately.

Crops need the most water exactly when utilities charge the most for power. Irrigation, cold storage and packing loads peak with the sun, and ground-mount space is rarely the constraint. USDA REAP grants are currently paused — the guaranteed loan is still open, and we'll tell you the difference.

Utility prices have risen nearly 4% per year for a decade while the cost of solar has dropped drastically. The federal homeowner credit ended December 31, 2025, so the numbers need running honestly now — and sometimes the honest answer is "not this year."

Hotel owners who went solar with YES
I've done solar installations at my other hotels before but had never pursued any grants. When I worked with Yes Solar Brokers for my Motel 6 in Williams, CA, they guided me through securing a 25% USDA REAP grant, which I didn't even know was available. They also offered a much better price than other companies I had used before. I'm already seeing savings on our energy bills.
I worked with Yes Solar Brokers on solar installations for two hotels — one in California and another in Texas. Their expertise in navigating financial incentives like the 50% USDA grant and federal tax credits really stood out. What impressed me most was their ability to manage projects across different states with ease.
Working with Yes Solar Brokers for the solar installation at my Hampton Inn was a fantastic experience. They took care of writing and submitting the USDA grant application for me — I secured a 50% REAP grant, which significantly reduced my costs. I'd highly recommend Yes Solar Brokers to any hotel owner looking to go solar.
"On top of all the options. On top of all steps of installation and finalization. I recommend them highly." — Mardin
"Clearly presented all the information and details of getting solar on my home. Benny was both professional and patient." — Ron Manara
"I had a very good experience with YES Solar. I put solar on my house in El Dorado Hills." — Geri Mudrova

USDA REAP Grant
Federal grant money for agricultural and rural businesses. Our clients have been awarded REAP grants covering 25% and 50% of project cost — we write and submit the application for you. New grant applications are paused as of July 2026; the guaranteed loan is still open. We'll tell you where it actually stands.
SBA Green Loan
We make your solar project meet SBA 504B green requirements — energy modeling, offset reports, and compliance — so your business unlocks favorable financing.
Commercial ITC & bonus depreciation
The Section 48E business credit is still available in 2026 and stacks with 100% first-year bonus depreciation, now permanent. The 30% residential credit ended December 31, 2025 — a lot of solar websites still advertise it. We calculate real after-tax cost, savings, and ROI before you sign anything.
Three things worth reading before you spend money on solar.
We wrote these because the honest version wasn't anywhere online. No sales pitch, no lead-gen form in the middle — just what's actually true in California right now.
California solar incentives in 2026
The 30% federal homeowner credit ended December 31, 2025, and most solar websites still advertise it. Here's what a California homeowner or business can genuinely claim now — dated, sourced, and honest about what's gone.
